Good mouse, price, and overall value. The receiver is not protected at all and sticks out about 1/2 way.2. The usb holder on the bottom of the mouse is poorly designed. Now that the super small receivers are available, I would recommend getting one of those for a netbook/laptop instead of this model.Haven't used a set of batteries yet, but this auto-installed on XP very easily. Logitech is always reliable for me. I have 2 complaints for this mouse:1. The receiver is too large.
I can work and play on my computer much longer with this mouse than the larger ones. With the size of this mouse there is way less strain to use it. I have had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists but I still have some pain and nerve damage that will never get better. I have smaller hands and I have to stretch to use a standard mouse.
Works very well when you use a mouse-pad. The mouse does not work on it at all. I will give it a try and update the review. I had a logitech mouse earlier that I replaced with this one as it has very positive feedback from over 300 reviewers. I have a black table-top conference table in my office. I still haven't tested this on glossy surface.
When I went shopping not one store in my town had a mouse (wireless or not) available. I have never had a problem with any Logitech product that I have owned and their prices are reasonable. I needed a new mouse recently and wanted a wireless one. This is my 3rd Logitech mouse and and 2nd wireless (one for the laptop) and I would not buy any other brand.
This mouse is great especially since you can turn it off and it doesn't eat up your batteries.
